Description
One of the biggest challenges for mining companies in the world is dealing with scrap end-of-life off-the-road (OTR) tires. Tops Recycling, a leader of waste tyre recycling solution provider, knows this very well. Our engineers have visited many mining companies in China and seen mining sites with tires stacked four high as far as your eyes can see. And these tires, most often left to rot in the sun.
With the request of mining companies and waste tyres recycler, after many years research and experience, TopsRecycling has developed a very efficient way to cut end-of-life off-the-road (OTR) tires into rubber chips at a very economic way.
The first step is to cut the end-of-life off-the-road (OTR) tires tyre into three pieces (two pieces of tyre sides and one center portion by OTR WASTE TYRE SIDE WALL CUTTER).
When the end-of-life off-the-road (OTR) tires are cut into those three pieces, it will be much easier for the waste tyre collector to pick up and transport.
Or it can be cut into rubber chips on site by our waste OTR tyre strip cutter & block cutter.
Advantages of automatic waste tyre cutting machine
- 1. Economical investment
- 2. High efficient of cutting waste OTR tyres, it cuts both tyre sides at one time
- 3. Reliable performance
- 4. Maintenance friendly
- 5. Low running cost

FAQ
- Q: What is the cutting machine's installation location?
- A: For convenience of operation, it is placed in an underground pit.
- Q: How many operators are required?
- A: Only one person is needed.
- Q: How to load the tire onto the machine?
- A: By crane or forklift.
- Q: What is the cutting efficiency? How many tires can be cut per hour?
- A: Taking the tire size of 59/80R63 as an example, the cutting process itself takes only 3 to 5 minutes. Including loading and unloading, it takes 20 to 30 minutes to cut one tire. Therefore, about two tires per hour on average. The actual cutting efficiency depends on the operator.
- Q: How many blades are there?
- A: There are only two blades. One blade cuts the upper side, and the other blade cuts the down side of the tire wall.
- Q: What is the lifespan of the blade?
- A: It can cut 10 to 15 tires for the tire size of 59/80R63 (about 50 to 80 tons of tire chips). For smaller tire sizes, more blades are needed.
Preparing the Waste OTR
Load the waste OTR onto the Tyre Side Wall Cutting Machine
OTR: Before initiating the tire recycling process, the waste OTR tires are loaded onto the Tyre Side Wall Cutting Machine, ensuring they are positioned for efficient cutting and recycling.
Machine Operation:
Start the Waste Mining Tyre Recycling Machine to Cut Both Side Walls Off
The Waste Mining Tyre Recycling Machine is activated to commence the cutting process, efficiently removing both side walls of the OTR tires. This step is crucial for facilitating further processing and recycling of the tires.
Cutting Process:
Utilizing the Waste OTR Tyre Side Wall Cutter to Remove the Two Tyre Sides from the Tyre Crown
Using the Waste OTR Tyre Side Wall Cutter, the two side walls of the OTR tires are carefully removed from the tire crown, preparing them for subsequent stages of recycling. This step ensures the extraction of valuable materials from the tires for reuse.
